REFUNDS

1.1 - You are entitled to a full refund if:

  • The licence is defective and non-functional, as verified through the Microsoft PID Checker output.
  • ESD Codes is unable to resolve the reported technical issue within the established timeframe.

In the event of a defective product, our team will carry out a diagnosis within 24 hours of the report and provide a technical solution. If the issue cannot be resolved, you may choose between a replacement product or a full refund. Refund processing takes 5-10 business days.

To request a refund, please contact our customer service at info@esdcodes.com within 14 days of purchase, providing your order number and licence key.

WHEN A REFUND DOES NOT APPLY

  • The licence has already been activated and presents no demonstrable technical defects.
  • The request is submitted more than 14 days after the purchase date.
  • The reported issue concerns software compatibility with the customer's device: compatibility verification is the customer's sole responsibility prior to purchase.
  • The customer refuses the technical assistance offered by our team.

Please note that all licences sold by ESD Codes are valid for a single PC and are non-transferable to other devices. ESD Codes is not responsible for local device issues that may prevent the software from functioning correctly.

AFTER-SALES WARRANTY

All products purchased on ESD Codes include a 12-month warranty covering PC reinstallation and reset cases, with free chat and email support for the entire duration of the warranty.

DIGITAL WITHDRAWAL FUNCTION - DIRECTIVE (EU) 2023/2673

Pursuant to Directive (EU) 2023/2673 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 November 2023, applicable across all EU Member States from 19 June 2026, ESD Codes provides all consumers, including unregistered users, with a digital withdrawal function for contracts concluded via an online interface, accessible directly on this page.

The function is labelled "Returns & withdrawals" and remains continuously available throughout the entire period during which the right of withdrawal may be exercised. The process consists of two steps: the consumer completes the online withdrawal declaration and confirms it via the "Confirm withdrawal" function. Upon confirmation, ESD Codes sends, without undue delay, a receipt of transmission on a durable medium, including the content of the declaration and the date and time of submission.

The digital function supplements, without replacing, the traditional withdrawal methods already available, including the standard withdrawal form and direct communication with customer support.

Please note: for orders involving digital content (software licences) already delivered with the consumer's express consent, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised pursuant to Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU as amended. In such cases, the digital function will guide the consumer in verifying whether the right of withdrawal applies to their specific order, informing them of any exclusion and the alternative support options available.

WAIVER OF RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL - DIGITAL CONTENT

Pursuant to Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2673 and implemented in each EU Member State, the right of withdrawal is excluded for contracts for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has already begun and, since the contract imposes an obligation to pay on the consumer, the following three conditions are cumulatively met:

  1. the consumer has given prior express consent to begin performance during the 14-day withdrawal period;
  2. the consumer has expressly acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal;
  3. ESD Codes has provided confirmation of the consumer's express consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium, prior to the conclusion of the contract.

All three conditions are satisfied at the moment the consumer completes the purchase on ESD Codes: the mandatory checkbox at checkout formalises the consent and acknowledgement referred to in points 1 and 2, while the order confirmation email constitutes the communication on a durable medium referred to in point 3.

Consequently, for orders in which the software licence has been delivered or made available, the consumer will not be entitled to exercise the right of withdrawal under applicable law.

This clause does not affect the consumer's rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, nor the voluntary refund policy adopted by ESD Codes, which remains applicable under the conditions described in section 1.1.
